Hi I’m Leah May and thank you so much for visiting my blog!
I’m a lover of DIY projects, cooking, eating, watching thunderstorms, the mortuary traditions through human history (I’m an osteoarchaeologist) productive procrastination and saving pennies without sacrificing quality. Did I mention food? I really like making and sharing a good meal and good food is something I spend most of my money on and nothing pleases me more than sharing a home cooked meal with loved ones.
I’m all about saving at the moment. Saving money, saving energy, saving environmental resources. I don’t like to compromise value, enjoyment or luxury for these savings though so I’m always finding ways to to get the best of both worlds whether it’s through DIY (love getting my hands dirty), making plans (especially with finances), or just researching other options (yay the internet!) for the best match. And this is where I share all of that!
I love a good project that requires use of my hands and creativity – especially when I need a break from the hectic day-to-day (or just want a way of procrastinating) and end up making all sorts of bits and pieces. I’m an avid sewer – have been sewing since I was 7 (thanks Nana!) and make most of my clothes.
This blog is really just a way of documenting and sharing all my bits and pieces. I am always looking for new ideas, projects, solutions or just a good chat so please get in touch with any of the above!
Thanks and see you on the post pages!
